OUR PARTNERS

Here the trustworthy people with whom we share, plan and realize our small cooperation and development projects:

Fr. Pietro Ferrari

Fr. Pietro is a missionary from Bologna. He belongs to the religious Congregation founded by saint Daniele Comboni, first Bishop of Central Africa, in 1867. Nowadays there are about 1600 Comboni’s missionaries all over the world. Fr. Pietro spends long periods in South Sudan to follow his project to help refugees children from conflict zones and to dig wells.

Sr. Luisella Benzoni

Sr. Luisella is a Consolata sister from Brescia (Italy). She worked in Tanzania for 25 years, then she came back in Italy for about 10 years – she spent that period in Castelnuovo Don Bosco (Asti, Piedmont). Finally she went back to live and work in Iringa and then in the mission of Manda, a very poor and isolated place in Tanzania. She’s a teacher and supervisor of Nursery School. She’s a very precise, well organized and appreciated woman. She’s in charge of our microcredit projects in Tanzania.

Mrs. Lucy Nderitu Waweru

Friend of us since 1995, English teacher, Headmistress of Murang’a College Primary School of Makuyu and member of pastoral Parish Group of Makuyu Don Bosco Catholic Church, Makuyu, in Kenya. She supports her worthy but poor students to pay Secondary School fees looking for sponsors; thanks to the very good marks obtained by her students at State Final Exam she received public resources to rebuild the school, up to 2010 made of only wood. In her school she have run for a period a farming and self-reliance project with her teachers and colleagues, students and parents. Later on 24th February 2017 she was awarded by the Kenyan First Lady Margaret Kenyatta the Prize for the Best Sub County Public Primary School, Murang’a County, Kenya. Since September 2017 she has been Headmistress of Kaloleni Primary School, Machakos County, Kenya. She’s in charge of our projects in Kenya.

Mr. Elio Savio

Initiator and inspirer of our activity. Since 1993 he used to spend happy and tiring periods in Kenya and Tanzania as a volunteer, he have learned by himself Kiswahili (studying alone, thanks to the occasional lessons of some friends in Italy and writing letters to kenyan friends), he have taught blacksmith job to kenyan young people and he still cooperates with some religious and lay missionaries. Have a look of his “welders project” in the section “Friends projects”. If you’d like to talk and share ideas with him, contact us.
